Hot Tub owners routinely encounter poor quality covers!

Most "industry standard" spa covers are made from a closed-cell foam
material, wrapped in a simple plastic bag, then covered in vinyl and
sewn closed. Over time, exposure to the elements fades the vinyl,
destroys the stitching, and warps the foam. The foam absorbs water
coming from both the steam of the hot tub and the external rain and
snow. Add on 8 -12 inches of snow, or just a half inch of ice, and most
covers will bend and fail under the additional weight. Hot tubs that
operate under a protected cover or gazebo still absorb moisture from
the hot tub, and slowly fail or degrade in a similar manner. In addition to
the snow, rain, ice, and heavy use abuse, backyard hot tub covers are
also exposed to raccoons, rats and mice that find the warm
environment inviting enough to chew into the soft foam and make a
home during the fall and winter months. The combination of the raw
elements, mold, critters, and abuse usually reduce the life of a cover to
less than 5 years. To address those problems we invented a simple
solution and are excited about its acceptance in the Hot Tub industry.
